This new documentary explores the relationship between oil and water in Alberta, Canada. It takes a phenomenal amount of water to rinse the oil out of tar sands. As the documentary shows, where that water comes from, and where it goes once it’s polluted, are questions that don’t yet have satisfactory answers.
H2Oil is the third film in the Cooperative’s Toxic Fuels series, alongside Dirty Oil and Petropolis.
The film is out in the UK on June 15th, and you can find your nearest screening here.
A question we must ask – is it all worth it?
