Living Lightly forum

1Just wanted to mention a new forum called livinglightly24-1. It’s been up a matter of weeks, so traffic’s a little slow, but it looks promising. I recommend checking in and getting involved.

It’s run by the organisation Arocha, who are the only Christian environmental agency I know (there must be others – anybody know one?) and an inspiring bunch of people. I should have mentioned them earlier actually, as I only really started thinking seriously about sustainability after one of their conferences. Their main project in the UK is ‘living waterways’, which is reclaiming areas of derelict land in Southall in London by encouraging community action.

  1. Thanks for the link. Looks like an interesting group. I saw a show on public tv the other night about Christian environmental groups organizing to clean up their community which had been devastated by strip mining. Can’t remember their name. I think they were pretty grassroots.
