
Well, that was quite a night. My wife and I got up at 1am and watched through until 3, and went back to sleep knowing the world would be a better place in the morning. Phrases like ‘spread the wealth around’ hold no fear for the writers of this particular blog, and being at least a little bit Kenyan, there’s a certain poignancy to this victory. There’s hard work to do, expectations are high, but today is a day for celebrating a genuine landmark in the American story. Congratulations to Barack Obama, and to the US on this historic occasion.
