The alternative Christmas message

“If Christ was on earth today undoubtedly he would stand with the people in opposition to bullying, ill-tempered and expansionist powers.

If Christ was on earth today undoubtedly he would hoist the banner of justice and love for humanity to oppose warmongers, occupiers, terrorists and bullies the world over.

“If Christ was on earth today undoubtedly he would fight against the tyrannical policies of prevailing global economic and political systems, as he did in his lifetime.”

Good words from a most unexpected source – these are quotes from this year’s Channel 4 alternative Christmas message, which will be delivered tomorrow by Mahmood Ahmedinejad. (I’m not entirely sure what Channel 4 is thinking, other than courting controversy.) Of course tyrannical policies and warmongering are two of the first things that come to mind when I think of Ahmedinejad, so it rings a little hollow, but just this once, I agree with the man.

  1. If we search for Christ among us today we can still find him sometimes. Like I found him in the person of Phil Collins in the song: Tell Me Why. [I have kept the lyrics of that song in my site (category-Music)]

Christ might be scarce and outspoken today but he’s still around with us, alright. Wishing everybody a Merry Christmas
