Will you be taking part in Earth Hour this year?
On March 28th, the lights will go off between 8:30 and 9:30, as a reminder of how much power we use on a daily basis. Participating cities all around the world will switch off their floodlit landmarks, businesses will turn off signs, and households will turn off their lights. Just for an hour, as a reminder and a statement.
If you have children, I think this would be a great opportunity. Have some friends round, turn off the lights and play some games in the dark, and it’ll be a memorable way to communicate something about energy efficiency and climate change.

Thanks for promoting Earth Hour! Another way you can recruit people to the cause is by creating a Earth Hour group on Commit21.com. Simply create a group about one action that you will commit to do for Earth Hour and recruit your friends, family, and co-workers to get involved in that action as well. When it comes to climate change, simple actions can make huge differences and Commit21 leverages social media to influence networks of friends, family, and co-workers.
