Chicza – the UK’s first biodegradable gum

A few months ago we reported on Chicza, the first biodegradable chewing gum to go on sale in the UK. It’s a great example of sustainable business, creating jobs in Mexico, stewarding the rainforests, and helping to solve the problem of urban staining here in the UK.

Chicza went on sale this week. Louise has been along to London’s Trafalgar Square to meet the directors and do a taste test, in this exclusive* report for Make Wealth History.

*We don’t want it to stay exclusive – this short audio documentary is available on a Creative Commons license, so feel free to download it and use it in community radio or in podcasts. Just let us know if you use it!

  1. I’ve got a site that talks about all things connected with the world of chewing gum, and we’ve often included posts that talk about the problems connected with cleaning up discarded gum in the UK and around the world. I’ve included this podcast in a recent post….
