what we learned this week

According to IPSOS Mori, politicians have replaced journalists as the least trustworthy profession for the first time since 2001.

Having dropped to a fraction of their size, the giants of the finance world are well on their way to recovering their losses from the mighty crash. See this New York Times interactive graphic to see how the landscape has changed.

I found a dozen spiders in my garden this week, so I looked them up. Turns out it is the garden cross spider,  it is mating season, and baby spiders are called spiderlings. See Buglife – the invertebrate conservation trust, for more on your local arachnids.
