Plane Stupid’s striking new ad

If you hit the cinema this weekend, you may see Plane Stupid‘s new ad. What do you think?

    1. Indeed, and some might consider that in bad taste.

I’m a little torn myself. I think it’s well done and nicely surreal. What I’m not so keen on is the polar bears again – is the melting of the arctic the only consequence of climate change. Most people, if forced to choose between being able to fly, and having polar bears, would choose the flying.

  1. I don’t like shock adverts, I know you’re not supposed to but still. The message they’re trying to put across doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the unpleasantness of seeing polar bears splattering on top of buildings and stuff like that.

  2. The first few frames, with YouTube quality I couldn’t tell they were bears.

It is well constructed but you’re right they have jumped on the polar bear band wagon. I’m certainly more concerned with drought affecting people than polar bears, perhaps thats wrong?

Fits the marketing peoples spec better. Cute bears versus the distress of africans? Bears every time.
