What we learned this week

Of the 800 prices that Asda reduced in the run-up to Christmas and advertised heavily, two thirds were price cuts of 1p.

Apple have admitted that children are employed in some of their ipod factories.

Our transition hustings made it into the Saturday Telegraph, but alas, only as a picture in a fawning article about Esther Rantzen. And it’s not even true that she got more applause than anyone else.
