Questions I asked this week

  • What happened to the 25 tram projects mooted by John Prescott in 2000? And how can they be revived?
  • I didn’t watch the royal wedding, but I did read Bishop Richard Chartres’ sermon on Byron’s blog. Apparently it’s likely to have had a bigger audience than any sermon in history. Which begs the question, if you had the opportunity to say something of spiritual significance to an audience of 2 billion, could you do any better than calling for “an increase of loving wisdom and reverence, for life, for the earth and for one another”?

Yes, by linking this call to the character of “a generous God who so loved the world that he gave himself to us in the person of Jesus Christ”.

    Thanks for the link.
