What we learned this week

  • One of the big arguments for GM seed is that it reduces the use of chemicals in agriculture. Except that it doesn’t, as a study of pesticide and herbicide use over the first 16 years of GM crops shows.
  • The nudgy state – how governments are experimenting with behavioural economics to effect change.
