This is the latest infographic from Practical Action, one of my favourite charities. I’m not posting it to highlight how much water we use, more to remind us how fortunate we are to have clean water in the first place.
That’s a lot of water. I only run my dish washer 2-3 times per week. I also use a cup of water to brush my teeth. How do you possibly use 24 litres to brush your teeth? I’m in the US, but the UK example seems like an extreme case.
You’d have to leave the tap running while you brushed, so they’ve taken an extreme example there. But then maybe most people do leave the tap running, I don’t know.
