What we learned this week

  • David Steven takes the Guardian to task over its coverage of climate change – “If the British government is not the villain, it seems a story becomes a lot less interesting.”
  • When Britain pulled out of its colonies, anything potentially embarrassing or incriminating in the records was burned or dumped at sea, we learn from papers declassified this week.
  • The Transition Network has been running a series called Austerity Basics over the past few days, with James Meadway from nef.
