What we learned this week

  • Copia is an app that reduces food waste by allowing companies with a surplus to log it for collection and redistribution. It’s available in several cities in California so far, with more places to come.
  • Levis joins the short but distinguished list of companies open-sourcing their research to encourage others to use the water-saving techniques they have developed.
  • Speaking of Scotland, here’s a picture of my brother and me in the Highlands last week. Paul co-founded the blog with me, and we’re plotting something new that I will tell you about when it’s ready.
