In the @ashden_org offices in London there’s a living green wall in reception. It’s a tradition for new members of staff to have their picture taken in front of the moss wall. St Mary's Catholic Primary is Britain's first biophilic school, and a government pilot in a new approach to school design. Roads can split neighbourhoods right down the middle, cutting across relationships and isolating communities. Many cities have been divided this way, often during the road-building booms that accompany development. It can be hard to justify keeping rural railway lines open when there aren't enough people using the trains. But when a branch line closes, communities lose their connection to public transport.
