My book #ClimateChangeIsRacist was longlisted for the #wainwrightprize22 this week. On the Earthbound Report this week, Harriet Bergman @klimaatontwrichting explores eco-fascism. “When people build a house in this country, they first dig a hole and dispose of the excavated soil. Afterwards, they bring in tonnes of sand, gravel and cement to pour in the foundation and walls" says Gnanli Landrou. What if you could make the house out of the earth it stands on, and save all that extra work and resources? Helen Coffey is the travel editor for the Independent, and recently made a commitment to stop flying. She explains why in her new book Zero Altitude, along with her ground-based adventures since.
