- Speaking of which, rumour has it Labour are putting a Post Office based ‘People’s bank’ in their manifesto. Which is great news, although one has to wonder why they changed their minds right after gutting the Post Office and bailing out the bigger banks.

It took me 3 applications to get Co-op to give me an account, but they finally did! I’m guessing they must be doing pretty well to turn down business from a safe bet customer like myself!
Yeah, they’re choosy that way. They turned us down for a mortgage, even though we bank with them and they knew perfectly well what we earned!
