How to make a difference

how-to-make-a-difference

How to make a difference is a website showcasing the stories of inspiring people, interviewed and photographed by Fran Monks. The site “captures the faces and ideas of people whose determination, originality and entrepreneurialism is making the world a little bit better” says Fran. “I hope it will provide inspiration and ideas for others with similar aims.”

The latest entry features Paul Monaghan, head of social goals and sustainability for the Coop group and the driving force behind many of the Cooperative’s ethical policies.

Previous entries include Pooran Desai, the founder of BedZed, and Jamie Wallace of walkit.com. I was also interested to see Julie Brown featured. She is the founder of East London market gardening group Growing Communities, who I heard quite a lot about at a permaculture course recently. The site archives are well worth a browse, and are testament to what one person can achieve with sufficient energy.
